Biography

Ché George Chesterman Jr. is a singer-songwriter from Basildon, Essex, best known for his powerful voice and heartfelt performances. Before pursuing music full-time, he worked stacking shelves at a Tesco in Langdon, Essex, but left the job to follow his passion for singing. Music runs in his family, as his father, Ché Sr., auditioned for The X Factor in 2006 and advanced to bootcamp. Ché studied music at college, where he developed his craft and discovered his love for live performance. He went on to become the lead singer of the band Jinx before deciding to launch his solo career. In 2015, Ché captivated audiences on The X Factor UK, finishing in third place and later joining the 2016 X Factor Live Tour. Continuing to chase international success, Ché auditioned for American Idol Season 23 in New York, impressing judges with his rendition of “Mirror” by Madison Ryann Ward and earning a coveted Golden Ticket to Hollywood, further cementing his reputation as a rising star.
